Master of Engineering (M.Eng.)

The School of Computing offers two M.Eng. options in partnership with the College of Engineering: Computer Science & Engineering (CSE) and Data Science. Both programs are 30 credits and are designed as the preferred degree path for preparation for careers in industry or teaching.

Delivery Options

  • CSE M.Eng. — Offered in person and online. The in-person option supports international students and student visas. See program details on the College of Engineering: CSE M.Eng. Program
  • Data Science M.Eng. — Offered fully online. Note that this concentration is not eligible for UConn visa sponsorship. See: Data Science M.Eng. Program

Admissions

Admissions decisions are made by committee and are typically returned in less than one month. GRE scores are not required for the M.Eng. program. For deadlines, how to apply, and full requirements, visit: How to Apply to the M.Eng.

International Students

International applicants may enroll in the in-person CSE M.Eng. option; visa guidance is provided through UConn’s Center for International Students & Scholars (CISS). The online Data Science M.Eng. concentration is not eligible for visa sponsorship. For university-level guidance, consult CISS.
