ABET Information
The Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) program combines a rigorous education in computer science with added emphasis on the physical and architectural underpinnings of modern computer system design. With a background that spans computer science and computer engineering, our graduates are able to address computing systems across the hardware-software spectrum. See the ABET information on the CSE major for more information on this program.
The Computer Science (CS) program provides a rigorous education that combines central topics in computing and specialization in a more focused area with added emphasis on the physical and architectural underpinnings of modern computer system design. Our graduates have the breadth of understanding a practice both in traditional areas of computing and in applications to other disciplines. See the ABET information on the CS major for more information on this program.
Lastly, the Computer Engineering (CE) program is offered jointly with the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department and produces graduates with skills in designing computer hardware and peripherals, and emphasizes the electrical characteristics of the computer itself. The ABET information on the Computer Engineering program is on the accreditation page of the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department.
