Congratulations to our graduate students for being recognized for their academic accomplishments by receiving prestigious fellowship awards! Predoctoral Fellowships are awarded by school recommendation and are intended to accelerate progress of recipients towards the completion of doctoral degree requirements.
Shuya Feng received the School’s top honor – the Taylor L. Booth graduate fellowship. This fellowship, named after UConn alum and CSE department founder Taylor L. Booth, is awarded to a doctoral student intending to pursue a faculty career at an American university upon completion of their Ph.D.

The Marion and Frederick Buckman Engineering fellowship award was presented to Sara Wrotniak.
The Anthony W. DeSio Endowed Fellowship in Computer Science fellowship award was presented to Josue Martinez-Martinez.
The Sarah Levitan Larie Computer Science and Engineering Fellowships were presented to Gautam Pirthiani, Brendan Barnett and Daniel Baker.
The Professor Reda Ammar Fellowship in Computer Science and Engineering fellowship was presented to Chiman Salavati.
The UConn Computer Science Predoctoral Fellowship Tier 1 awards were presented to Hanbin Hong, Haotian Zhang, Ehsan Ul Haque, Huiqun Huang and Marjan Hosseini.
The UConn Computer Science Predoctoral Fellowship Tier 2 awards were presented to Soumyashree Sahoo, Yushan Jiang, Chuanyu Xue, Dingbang Wang, Trevor Thomas, Nicholas Scaglione, Chinmaey Shende, Chenyu Zhang, Xi Xie, Sahand Hamzehei, Qingqi Lin, Amey Shukla, Ali Arastehfard, Maryam Rezapour, Kexin Chu and Bingjun Li.
The UConn Computer Science Predoctoral Fellowship Tier 3 awards were presented to Sanbao Su, Shenao Yan, Md Zakir Hossain, Maryam KafiKang, Blake Gaines, Jianchang Su, Masum Shah Junayed, Qianying Ren, Jie Kong, Afsana Ahsan Jeny, Rye Howard-Stone, Zijie Pan, Mostafa Karami, Dawei Xiang, Zixu Shen, Jiazheng Li, Joyanta Basak and Qin Yang.
